O CRIVO

The Riddle is a dance performance inspired by the piece “First Story” from the writer João Guimarães Rosa, one of the most revolutionary and complex writers of the Brazilian literature in the twentieth century. Two men create a relationship that will only reveal itself as both go through their stories, the SERTÃO (*one of the four sub-regions of the northeast of Brazil, a really poor and dry region. But also used in this case as a portuguese language word game also meaning “being so much”) with the farmer sound, rooster crowing, wind blowing through the tree leaves.

But the SER-TÃO (being so much) is another! Not the one located in Minas Gerais, Bahia and Goiás (*Brazilian states). The SER-TÃO here is the emptiness amid the remnants of the heavy and subtle notes from fromVilla-Lobos, Francisco Mignone and Arthur Moreira Lima pianos. Is the solitude we all have, is the private own world of each.

Therefore, in this intersection, dialogues and contacts are held, so both immerse themselves in the pursuit of what changes and what remains in each other, making them primary, strong and delicate at time disruption, where the middle makes itself be the end and the river runs in physical bodies to the exhaustion to be who you are: between nothing and something, the most intimate and complete human condition in a mystery drama, coexistence and commotion.

DANÇA BOBA

For the creation of the third work of Ateliê, the group invites the dancer Gleysson Moreira and has the direction of Daniel Calvet.

"DançaBoba" is a show that is based on the construction of dances from improvised games in the bodies of two interpreters. Packed by a sonorous universe filled with textures, a dramatic and poetic line weaves layers that envelop the senses, potentializing and revealing the constructed gesture from a gestation of affections.
The gesture is built on the now by physicality having its dynamic variations as a gateway to materialize scenes that are built from the relation of two: now one body is support for the other, now the two as protagonists, now the two as one. In this affective and generous profusion of producing images / senses before the eyes of the beholder.
The built dances gain power from the simplicity, the poetic construction unveiled and the delivery to which the performers put themselves to share with us diverse moments that travel from the memories, nostalgia, lightness, dramaticity, playfulness.
In this latent state of the body in motion the Dance becomes a Boba in a gentle ephemerality of time, in the real construction of possible worlds because everything is theater, metaphors about a possible story that "maybe" we will tell you.

NATUREZA MORTA

Dance show freely inspired by the life and work of the plastic artist Farnese de Andrade, the Architect of Pain, in dialogue with the Baroque and his wealth of language, proposing a reflection on the relations in the world.

Confined in space, two men investigate issues of the human essence, bringing Baroque thought to contemporaneity along with the history and work of Farnese.

Images that sprout, affirming our condition in the world, revealing strength and fragility before what we are constituted: meats, bones, viscera, memories, liquids. Through a slow walk of the eyes on the images, the actions of dramaturgy are dilated in time, bringing to memory the drive between life and death.

CRU

Poetic exercise in reframing the choreographic material of the show “O Crivo”
proposing a new look, an aesthetic deepening so that the tension lines
choreographies are increasingly exposed.
A delivery, a self-dialogue to bare, to flow through the perplexity of images
“Roseanas” establishing an unusual path - “what did not happen”; lessons
stunning, metaphors or fragments of a greater miracle: eternity fitting
in a minute; a river with three banks, nothingness as our condition ... is the man in
question, in the face of the inexplicable, bound by its infinite finitude, unable to take possession of
his humanity to come true.
A magnifying glass in the body work matured by the group in these last
four years.
